My Story
Hey there! I’m Lauren—Texas-grown, OKC-based, and professionally curious to a fault. I’ve lived in 7 states, love chips and salsa, and hate toes (but mine are tolerable). I’m a mom of three and a firm believer that creativity, caffeine, and chaos can all coexist—beautifully.
I studied fine art at Texas Tech, but when motherhood came calling, I traded classrooms for crayons and never looked back. During those early years, I chased toddlers by day and fed my creative brain by night—diving into everything from illustration to interior design. Then in 2015, I met my first DSLR. It was love. One YouTube spiral and a few hundred test shots later, I started shooting for boutiques in Dallas, and eventually found my rhythm in weddings, families, products, and even 19th-century wet plate photography. Over time, my direction settled deeply into the world of fine art—with emotionally rich, often raw themes centered around brokenness, transformation, and belonging.
Then COVID hit—and life took a sharp, sacred turn. I became a paramedic and joined a career fire department, stepping into a world where every call is a reminder that time is fragile and presence is everything. What I discovered was this: both photography and emergency service are expressions of the same heart. One speaks in images, the other in action—but both are rooted in showing up for people when it matters most.
